Luis Villegas, COFOUNDER & CEO
Luis is an agribusiness engineer, MBA and MA from the Fletcher School. Luis has over 20 years of relevant professional experience in agriculture production, rural development, and peace-building. He served as Deputy Manager of the Colombian’s US$3 billion Climate Change Adaptation Fund. Previously he was a co-founder and Executive Director of VallenPaz, a successful entrepreneurship initiative that has supported over 16,000 small farmers in conflict zones. Luis comes from a family of farmers in Colombia, including the owners of El Fuerte farm in Palmira.
Rockford Weitz. Cofounder & startup Advisor
Rocky is a Ph.D, Professor of Practice at the Fletcher School and a serial entrepreneur, with SustAg4All being his 8th startup. He has raised over $18M in VC funding, and is a co-founder of Blue Water Metrics (#2 winner, Social Impact Track, 2016 Tufts $100K). Rockford serves as Chairman of the SustAg4All Advisory Board. He grew up on a 250-acre farm in northern Idaho.
Jacquie Kay. cofounder & advisor agribusiness innovation lab
Ed.D., is Managing Partner of Sun Walking Labs and a Harvard-trained educator. Dr. Kay is an expert on innovation labs and social impact. She is affiliated with MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning and serves as a Mentor at the Cambridge Innovation Center’s Venture Café.
